The Office of the Dean, Faculty of Law, Tribhuvan University, announces the LLB Entrance Examination for the 3-Year Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Program for the academic year 2025.

Notice regarding date extension for LLB Entrance application

Key Information about the LLB Entrance Exam

     

      • Exam Date: Jestha 24 (11:00 AM)

      • Application Period: April 13, 2025 – May 12, 2025 

           

            • Normal Fee: Rs. 1,600

            • Late Fee (after deadline): Rs. 3,200

        • Exam Format:

             

              • Type: Paper-based (Subjective)

              • Duration: 1 hour 40 minutes

              • Total Marks: 100 | Pass Marks: 40

              • Number of Questions: 100

        Admission Quota & Merit List

           

            • Limited seats are allocated under a quota system to enhance legal education quality.

            • Separate merit lists for each college will be published, showing candidates who secured ≥40%.

            • Tie-Breaking Criteria:

             

              1. Bachelor’s degree percentage/CGPA

              1. +2/Proficiency Certificate percentage

              1. SEE/SLC percentage

              1. Bachelor’s degree from a government/community campus

            Admission Process

               

                • Only candidates on the merit list can apply to preferred colleges within the deadline.

                • Vacant seats (if any) will be filled strictly based on merit from other colleges’ lists.

                • Colleges must submit admitted students’ details to the Dean’s Office within 15 days of admission completion.

              Exam Rules & Instructions

                 

                  • Mandatory: Admit card (no entry without it).

                  • Prohibited: Electronic devices (phones, calculators, smartwatches, etc.).

                  • Timings:

                   

                    • No entry 15 mins after exam starts.

                    • No exit before 1 hour of exam commencement.

                    • Special Provisions:

                         

                          • Visually impaired candidates may request a scribe (must be at least one level below the examinee’s qualification).

                          • Extra time: 15 minutes for eligible candidates.

                    Grievances & Final Authority

                       

                        • Complaints regarding admission violations will be investigated by the Dean’s Office.

                        • The Examination Committee’s decisions are final.
