Overview

The International Ambassador Scholarship at the University of West London (UWL) is a partial tuition fee discount awarded to outstanding international students who demonstrate the potential to represent and promote UWL as student ambassadors. The scholarship is competitive and open to self-funded international students who have already received an offer of admission to a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate course at UWL. Up to 100 scholarships are awarded per intake. Unlike many scholarships, no separate application is required in the traditional sense — eligible offer holders are invited to apply through a short form. The award is a one-time tuition fee discount applied to the first year of study only. ⚠️ Note: The current scholarship value is £1,000 toward first-year tuition fees. This is a partial discount, not a full or living-cost scholarship.

Eligibility

  • Must be a self-funded international (non-EU) student — domestic and EU students are not eligible
  • Must hold a confirmed offer of admission to a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate course at UWL
  • Must be commencing study at UWL (September or other intake)
  • Must demonstrate enthusiasm and clear potential to serve as an international student ambassador for the university
  • Awarded on a competitive basis — meeting eligibility does not guarantee the scholarship

How to Apply

  1. First, apply for and receive a confirmed offer of admission to a full-time UG or PG course at UWL
  2. Once you hold an offer, access the International Ambassador Scholarship application form via the UWL scholarships page
  3. Complete the short application demonstrating your enthusiasm and ability to act as a student ambassador
  4. Submit before the deadline for your intended intake — the deadline is typically in early July for September starts
  5. Successful applicants will be notified and the £1,000 discount will be applied to their first-year tuition fee invoice
