NEB Result 2082/2083 : Check Grade 12 Result Online with Marksheet

NEB (National Examination Board) publishes Grade 12 results for Science, Management, Humanities, Law, and Education streams. Results are available online, via SMS, IVR, USSD, and through Khalti and eSewa apps. This page gives you every method to check your result — updated as soon as NEB publishes.

Method 1 — Check Online (Website)

Two official websites to check your NEB result:

  1. Visit either website above
  2. Select Grade 12 and the examination year (2082)
  3. Enter your symbol number and date of birth
  4. View your result with subject-wise marks and grades
  5. Download or print your marksheet

⚠️ Result day tip: Both official websites experience extremely heavy traffic when results are first published — they often slow down or time out for the first 30–60 minutes. If you can’t access the website immediately, use the SMS or USSD method below — those work reliably even when websites are overloaded.

Method 2 — Check via SMS

  1. Open your mobile message box
  2. Type: NEB [space] [your symbol number]
    Example: NEB 12345678
  3. Send to 1600
  4. You will receive your result by return SMS

Works from any mobile network — not just NTC. SMS charges apply (standard SMS rate).

Method 3 — Check via IVR (Voice Call)

  1. Call 1601 from any NTC mobile or NTC landline
  2. Follow the voice instructions
  3. Enter your symbol number when prompted

Method 4 — Check via USSD (No Internet Needed)

  1. From an NTC SIM, dial *1600#
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions
  3. Enter your symbol number

USSD works without internet — useful if you have no data but have an NTC SIM.

Method 5 — Check via Khalti or eSewa App

  1. Open Khalti or eSewa app
  2. Go to the Education or NEB Result section
  3. Enter your symbol number and date of birth
  4. View your result instantly

This is often the fastest method on result day — these apps have dedicated result servers that handle high traffic better than the main NEB website.

What You Need to Check Your Result

  • Symbol number — found on your admit card. If you’ve lost it, contact your school (they have all student symbol numbers)
  • Date of birth — in BS format (e.g. 2065/08/09) for online check

What NG means

NG (Not Graded) means you did not meet the minimum passing threshold in that subject. You are not permanently barred from Grade 12 qualification — you can appear in the Grade Increment Exam (partial/supplementary exam) conducted by NEB. The Grade Increment Exam is typically held Jestha–Bhadra of the same academic year.

Grade Increment Exam (for NG students)

  • For students who received NG in one or more subjects
  • Typically held Jestha–Bhadra (May–August) following the regular exam
  • Apply through your school within the application window announced by NEB
  • Results published separately — typically Ashoj (September–October)
  • Monitor: neb.gov.np

Re-total Application

  • If you believe your marks are incorrect, apply for re-totaling within the deadline announced in the result notice — typically 7–15 days after result publication
  • Application submitted through your school
  • Fee: as per NEB notice (varies per subject)

After Your NEB Result — What’s Next?

  • If you passed: Start preparing for university entrance exams — IOE for engineering, MEC CEE for medical, TU CMAT for management, or direct college admission for BBS, BA, BEd and others. See EduNepal’s bachelor scholarships guide for your options.
  • If you received NG in 1–2 subjects: Apply for the Grade Increment Exam — do not wait. The application window is short.
  • Minimum GPA for streams: Science requires 2.0 GPA overall (C in aggregate) plus C+ in Science and Maths. See stream GPA requirements guide for Grade 11 planning — but note that for university entrance at bachelor level, the requirement is minimum 45–50% in your +2 results.
