Overview

Dibyabhumi Multiple College (DMC) is a private, purpose-driven institution affiliated with Tribhuvan University, located at Kupondole, Lalitpur. Established in 2014, DMC stands apart from conventional colleges with its deep commitment to social development, global citizenship, and interdisciplinary education in the humanities, social sciences, IT, and journalism.

The name itself captures the college's identity: 'Dibya' means light and 'Bhumi' means place — making Dibyabhumi "a bright place free from darkness." The college is a member of the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) and the UN Sustainable Development Network, and has active partnerships with UNESCO, UNDP Nepal, and international universities across South Korea, UK, and Denmark.

Beyond TU's standard curriculum, DMC has developed its own supplementary curriculum covering Leadership Skills, Social Entrepreneurship, Global Citizenship, Critical Thinking, Creative Writing, Digital Design, Videography, Proposal Writing, French language, and MOOC courses — equipping graduates to function as responsible digital and global citizens.

Admissions

Admission to Dibyabhumi Multiple College is open to students from all streams who have completed +2 or equivalent. The process is straightforward and inclusive — DMC deliberately maintains low eligibility barriers to ensure access for students from all backgrounds.

Eligibility — All Programs (BSW, BJMC, BCA, BA Major English, BA Gender Studies, BPSy, BRD)

• Completed 10+2 or PCL or A Level from any stream/faculty (Science, Management, Humanities, Education) from any board or university recognized by Tribhuvan University
• Minimum D+ in each subject (CGPA 2.0 or Second Division for BA Major English)
• No stream restriction — students from all academic backgrounds are eligible

Admission Process

• Submit completed application form with academic transcripts and certificates
• BCA requires TU BCA Entrance Test (FOHSS); other programs may have college-level selection
