Overview

Kantipur International College (KIC) is a leading private institution affiliated with Purbanchal University, offering one of the broadest program portfolios among private colleges in Nepal. Established in 2000 AD — originally as Kantipur Hotel Management College (KHMC) — KIC has grown from its hospitality management roots into a multi-disciplinary college spanning hospitality, management, engineering, architecture, interior design, law, and artificial intelligence.

KIC operates across two campuses in the Kathmandu Valley:

• Buddhanagar, New Baneshwor, Kathmandu: College of Management (BHM, BHCM, BBA, MBA, MHHM) and College of Liberal Arts (BALLB)
• Lubhu/Gwarko, Lalitpur: College of Science & Technology (BE Civil, B.Arch, BID, BTech AI, MSc Construction Management, ME Earthquake Engineering) — on a 25-ropani campus

• Engineering & Design (Lubhu, Lalitpur): BE Civil Engineering (96 seats), B.Arch — Bachelor of Architecture (96 seats), BID — Bachelor of Interior Design (96 seats), BTech in Artificial Intelligence (48 seats)
• Postgraduate Engineering (Lubhu): MSc in Construction Management (20 seats), Master of Engineering in Earthquake Engineering (20 seats)

Admissions

Admissions for all programs at KIC close September 16, 2026. Apply at kantipurinternational.edu.np. All programs require passing Purbanchal University entrance tests followed by KIC's group discussion and interview.

Campus Life

KIC's two campuses offer distinct but complementary learning environments — the urban New Baneshwor campus for management, hospitality, and law; and the spacious 25-ropani Lubhu, Lalitpur campus for engineering, architecture, and technology.

Internship & Industrial Training

Internship is a core component of KIC programs, particularly for hospitality students. BHM and BHCM students undergo structured industry placements in five-star hotels in Nepal and internationally — including properties in Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, India, and China. BBA and engineering students similarly undertake industrial training in banking, corporate, and technical sectors.

Smile Program

KIC runs a dedicated Smile Program — a student welfare and engagement initiative focused on soft skills, personality development, and the overall student experience.

• HSEB/NEB Top Performer Scholarship: Motivational scholarship for students with outstanding results in their +2 examinations
• Entrance Test Topper Scholarship: Awarded to the top performer in KIC's entrance test for each program
• Merit Scholarship (Semester-Based): Awarded each semester to students securing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions in semester-end (Board) examinations — creating a healthy competitive academic environment throughout the degree
