Overview

Himalayan WhiteHouse International College (HWIC) is a premier institution located at Ramshahpath, Putalisadak, Kathmandu, established in 2001 with the vision of becoming a "Center for Excellence in Education". Affiliated with Purbanchal University, the college has grown into one of Nepal's leading providers of Engineering, Management, Hospitality, Technology, Law, and Liberal Arts education. HWIC structures its academic offerings across four specialized schools, and operates a second campus — the WhiteHouse Graduate School of Management (WHGSM) at New Baneshwor — for management and graduate programs. The college is committed to practical, research-oriented education using state-of-the-art technology-blended teaching and learning environments.

Admissions

HWIC follows a transparent, merit-based admission process. Admissions for bachelor's and master's programs for 2083 B.S. are open with inquiries closing September 16, 2026.

Undergraduate Programs (BBA, BHM, BLAS, BIT, Engineering, BALLB)

• Must have completed +2 or equivalent with a minimum CGPA and subject grades specified per program
• Science background required for Engineering (BE Civil, BE Computer) and BTech Biotechnology
• Any stream eligible for BBA, BHM, BLAS
• Admission test conducted by WhiteHouse (the WhiteHouse Management Admission Test for management programs; engineering programs follow Purbanchal University entrance process)
• Selection based on academic qualifications, admission test performance, and interview

MBA

• Bachelor's degree from a recognized university with minimum CGPA
• Must pass admission test and interview

EMBA

• Bachelor's degree from a recognized university
• Relevant work experience required
• Must pass admission test and interview

Student-Led Cells & Departments

• Department of Student Affairs (DoSA): The primary student representative body — managed entirely by alumni or graduating students — bridges students and management, organizes events, and handles student welfare and growth programs
• Business & Economic Research Cell (BeREC): Engages students, faculty, and scholars in business and economics research; publishes a bi-annual Business and Economic Research Journal; organizes national and international conferences; conducts training on data analysis, scientific writing, and international research paper replication
• Leadership Development Cell: Workshops, training sessions, and exposure programs to build confidence, communication, and leadership capacity
• Entrepreneurship Development Cell (WeDC): Business incubator supporting idea generation, screening, and implementation; connects students with startup consultants, funding opportunities, and networks
• WhiteHouse Placement Cell: Student-led (with faculty guidance) career development unit organizing job and internship fairs, guest lectures, workshops, and training; connects students with industry partners for placements
• IT Cell: Supports digital learning and technology integration across programs

Publications & Research

The WhiteHouse Journal is the college's institutional publication, encouraging research, writing, and academic contributions from both faculty and students.

International Exposure

A Graduate Exposure Program provides international learning experiences and cross-cultural understanding through study visits and exposure trips abroad for students.

Sports & Recreation

HWIC has a formal partnership with the Kathmandu Cricket Training Centre (KCTC), Sanepa — offering trainee cricketers scholarships at WhiteHouse while KCTC provides training and logistics support, creating a unique academic-sports pathway for aspiring cricket professionals.

Scholarships

HWIC offers a multi-tiered scholarship structure covering merit, need, and performance categories.

Admission-Level Scholarship

Up to 50% tuition fee waiver based on academic performance in +2, Diploma, or equivalent degrees. Applicable across undergraduate programs at the time of admission.

Continuing Performance Scholarships (Semester-Based)

3.50 – 4.00	NPR 10,000 tuition discount per quarter

Unlimited seats available for SGPA-based scholarships. Full criteria available from the admissions office.

University Topper Scholarships

Three seats reserved for Purbanchal University position holders (Rank I, II, III):

• 50% discount on admission fee
• 25% discount on tuition fee for the first two quarters

Deprived & Underprivileged Category

Two reserved seats (one female, one male):

• 50% discount on admission fee
• 25% discount on quarterly fees throughout the program

Cricket Scholarship

In partnership with the Kathmandu Cricket Training Centre (KCTC), Sanepa, scholarships are available for trainee cricketers at WhiteHouse — combining academic study with professional cricket training.
