Overview

Xavier Academy (XA) is a leading NEB-affiliated Plus Two institution located at Lazimpat, in the heart of Kathmandu. Established in 1997 and managed by the Nepal Education Foundation (NEF), Xavier Academy has consistently ranked among the top ten +2 institutions in Nepal for over two decades — recognized for its academic rigor, modern infrastructure, and strong ethical values. The academy operates from a purpose-built six-storied academic complex just north of Hotel Radisson, Lazimpat. With 508 students across Grades 11 and 12, XA maintains deliberately small class sizes to ensure personalized attention for every student. Its leadership includes distinguished academics such as Chairman Prof. Dr. Sriram Bhagut Mathe, who brings over 47 years of academic and administrative experience. Strategic Partnerships

Xavier Academy has strategic academic partnerships with Little Angels College and Kathmandu Don Bosco College, offering students pathways to Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), and Executive MBA programs at the bachelor's and master's level.

Admissions

Admission to Xavier Academy is competitive and based on a combination of SEE results, an entrance aptitude test, and an interview. Admissions open after SEE results are published each year. Applications close on June 14 for the current cycle.

Eligibility

• Must have passed SEE or an equivalent examination from a recognized board
• Only the most recent SEE results are accepted
• Eligibility criteria may vary year to year — confirm requirements at xa.edu.np before applying

Admission Procedure

1. Fill out the official application form (online at xa.edu.np)
2. Submit latest mark sheets, academic transcripts, relevant certificates, and recent passport-sized photographs
3. Appear for the Entrance Aptitude Test
4. Shortlisted candidates appear for an entrance interview
5. Final admission based on combined SEE results + aptitude test score + interview performance

Aptitude Test Format

The test has two parts — a Writing Test (20 marks, 15 minutes) and a Computer-Based Test (50 marks, 30 minutes). No negative marking. Subject weightage by stream:

Note: All scholarships require students to maintain at least 60% marks and pass all subjects. Failure to maintain academic standards results in the scholarship being revoked for one term or until performance is reclaimed. SEE GPA-based scholarships are also awarded as needed.
