Wellcome Master’s Fellowships in Public Health and Tropical Medicine

Overview

The Wellcome Master's Fellowships in Public Health and Tropical Medicine — later renamed the Wellcome International Master's Fellowships — was a prestigious fully funded fellowship offered by the Wellcome Trust, one of the world's largest independent health research foundations. It offered nationals of low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), including Nepal, a £120,000 award to complete a 30-month programme: 12 months of taught Master's study anywhere in the world, followed by an 18-month research project based at an eligible LMIC institution.

⚠️ This fellowship is permanently closed. Wellcome restructured its entire funding strategy in 2021 and closed all its LMIC-targeted individual fellowship schemes, including this one. The final application round closed on 24 August 2021. There is no successor programme under the same name.
