Overview

The Transform Together Scholarships are Sheffield Hallam University's flagship international student award, offering a 50% tuition fee waiver for the first year of full-time undergraduate or postgraduate taught study at the university in Sheffield, UK.

Nepal is eligible โ€” the scholarship is open to all international and EU (non-UK) students. Sheffield Hallam is a large public university in South Yorkshire with strong programmes in business, engineering, health sciences, computing, and creative arts. It is a practical, career-focused institution and one of the UK's largest universities by student number.

The scholarship is awarded based on academic achievement and potential to represent the university as an ambassador โ€” both during and after studies. It is competitive but not as selective as some flagship university awards, making it a realistic target for strong Nepali applicants who meet the entry requirements.

Important: You must be fully self-financing your studies to be eligible. Students receiving funding from any external source โ€” government scholarship, employer sponsor, or scholarship provider โ€” are not eligible.

How to Apply

The Transform Together Scholarship requires a separate application after you have received your Sheffield Hallam Student Identifier (SI) number.

  1. Apply for your course โ€” choose and apply for a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate taught programme at Sheffield Hallam through the university's online prospectus or UCAS (for undergraduate). You must have applied before you can access the scholarship application.
  2. Receive your Student Identifier (SI) number โ€” after Sheffield Hallam processes your course application, you receive an eight-digit SI number by email. You cannot submit the scholarship application without this number.
  3. Complete the scholarship application form โ€” apply online using the scholarship application form on the Sheffield Hallam website. The form asks you to:
    • Describe your academic achievements
    • Explain how you will act as an ambassador for the university during and after your studies
    • Provide your SI number โ€” applications without this will not be considered
  4. Send your academic transcripts โ€” email your transcripts to globalscholarshiptranscripts@shu.ac.uk by the deadline.
  5. Submit by the deadline โ€” for September 2026 entry: 31 May 2026. For January 2027 entry: 1 November 2026.
